PIMPING, HUSTLING AND FLOWING AT THE PROJECT TRADE SHOW.

Redirecting my direction to attract a group that might not otherwise get me; bringing me back to the first place which is myself is "pimping". Yes I feel like a pimp in fashion. Trying profusely to blending in with no luck anyways. Left me thinking what should one do? Being a salmon swimming upstream in a world full of regular fishes going in a different direction. What should one do??

Pimping and hustling is the answer. I did just that at the project trade show. Upon reviewing the show I realized that many brands were doing things in a similar fashion; following a formula. This is what the business of fashion has become. Finding what sells and keep on remaking it. It always makes me wonder is this art or mathematics??

I kept my mouth shut and pimped and hustled all day long; telling my story the best way that I knew how. Surprisingly we had a great show. The entire collection was well received; and if it wasn't I would not have given a shit anyways. This is the beauty of owning your own brand. You can choose to do things with respect and integrity for your graft.

We had the smallest "WHORE HOUSE/BOOTH" at the show, let's call it exactly what it was. We received visits from buyers, the press and other big brands even the brands which have huge multi million dollar budgets. This is truly one place where size did not matter. We remained an "atom" small in size but we packed such a powerful punch. They all got the fever and came to peep the flavor for fall 2013.

Love it or hate it I have to keep on doing my thing my way. I have to keep on pimping and hustling.
